De-Stratification (Thermal Economiser) fans

It is a well known law of physics that hot air rises. In high roof buildings this results in a temperature gradient with the hottest air under the (unoccupied) roof and cooler air at floor (occupied) level where it is most needed in the cooler months.

Thermal economiser de-stratification fans, mounted at high level, automatically re-circulate this hot air thereby reducing the temperature stratification and the associated heat losses, resulting in lower heating bills.

Fans are available with variable speed controls and if these models are installed they have the added bonus of being able to run at high speed during the summer months to provide a cooling ‘breeze’ effect.

Roof extraction fans.

Many industrial processes involve plant and equipment that give off high levels of heat ,necessitating high levels of ventilation or cooling to maintain comfortable working conditions.

As hot air rises, the optimum way to remove this heat is to install roof extraction fans above the heat source or in the apex of the roof. This takes full advantage of the convection currents by capturing the hot air while it is still rising and before it can permeate through the building. The cooler replacement fresh air is then drawn into the building either by suitably located inlet grilles or wall mounted air input fans.
